At the beginning, I thought of traveling at least in the three main islands but finally I will have spent three weeks in Sumatra and I never did regret it !

Only, my first stay had only little interest. Thus let's skip Medan and its mosk being aside of the local Mc Donald, to go and relax in Bukit Lawang. A truth small paradise with its river, its very kind inhabitants and its tropical forest populated with impressive orangs-outans !

Even if the village of Berastagi is a less hooker, a small climb on one of these many neighbouring volcanos is worth really the sorrow. Sulphur and more sulphur ! The rest of the warrior is wel disearved in the lake Toba! A real paradise from where it will be difficult to set out again!

To finish this indonesian trip , I invite you to the next paradise even if it is not easy to reach. Pulau Weh was a marvellous suprise with these sand beaches, very few tourists, the bungalows in the middle of the forest and its really particular relaxed atmosphere. A must!
